On the issue of the 87,000 new #IRS agents to be hired to audit everyday Americans…Why is it that foreign investors into American companies (public and private) PAY NO CAPITAL GAINS TAX WHATSOEVER. When a Saudi Arabian Sheikh or a Chinese billionaire trades stocks or invests 1/4

Ambassadors to China are dying at an alarming rate in 2022. FOUR different ambassadors to China have passed away under strange circumstances in the first 8 months of 2022. German ambassador Jan Hecker, 54, died in September, less than two weeks into his Beijing posting.
Quote of @Jkylebass
The circus 🤡 clown of the Communist Party of China’s propaganda effort @HuXijin_GT just announced an ‘extension’ of the live-fire military drills off the coast of Taiwan 🇹🇼. This is EXACTLY what we expected as the effective blockade is extended to turn the screws
The Chinese Navy has added a 7th zone to their ‘live-fire’ exercises that will now last until Monday morning at 10am. The Communist Party will use Pelosi’s visit as an excuse to ratchet to a new force operating level in the Taiwan Strait. These exercises are designed to 1/5

@SpokespersonCHN Google Maps lists 200+ KFC restaurants in greater Beijing. Palates don't cheat. China has always been a part of Kentucky. The long lost child will eventually return home.
Baidu Maps show that there are 38 Shandong dumpling restaurants and 67 Shanxi noodle restaurants in Taipei. Palates don't cheat. #Taiwan has always been a part of China. The long lost child will eventually return home.
Minutes ago at CPAC, Trump just said “Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan would have never in a million years happened under Trump.”In the end, Trump was a pacifist willing to trade market stability and egregious human rights abuses for his precious (and failed)trade deal. With advisors 1/3

Excellent catch Michael @formosaphile . This suggests to me that this force escalation and defacto naval blockade of Taiwan was planned long ago. The speed at which these books have been introduced evidences the CPC’s propaganda campaign that has been carefully crafted. #China
New disinformation push on Amazon? A torrent of new low quality "books" about Taiwan has appeared; a quick Google shows at least some of the content is plagiarised, and the names of the authors appear to be fake. I count 61 of these under one search term alone. 1/4

Jobs are THE lagging indicator. Payroll employment typically continues to rise for 5-9 months into recessions. Look to the recessions of the 70s and 80s. I remember meeting with FED officials in 2006…they said jobs growth is strong. They said there won’t
The economy just added 528,000 jobs, the unemployment rate fell to a 50-year low of 3.5%, and people were debating if we were in a recession last week.
Quote of @JKempEnergy
We are clearly on borrowed time when leadership is praying for a sharp recession to (temporarily) ease energy prices. 🤦‍♂️ #OOTT
BRENT spot prices and calendar spreads have weakened consistently in recent weeks, a sign the recent upward price cycle has begun to break down. Prices and spreads are softening in response to the increased probability of a recession dampening oil consumption:
If we were serious about standing behind Taiwan, we would be doubling and tripling advanced munition manufacturing (Harpoon, Javelin, Hellfire missiles). Instead @thejointstaff isn’t rapidly increasing production and hasn’t moved Taiwan to the top of the priority list for

Every time I come on CNBC, the feed in Beijing is immediately cut across China by the MSS censors. Remember, the Chinese ambassador to the US and the Official Chinese Embassy’s twitter account have formally blocked me (a verified account). #ChinaExposed #China@SquawkCNBC
‘Craters’?!?? Really? The Taiwan 🇹🇼 dollar has moved in lock-step with the rest of the basket of Asian currencies against a very strong U.S. dollar. If China attacks, the world will actually see the TWD ‘crater’. #China #Taiwan #ChinaTaiwanWar
Quote of @CNBCClosingBell
Thanks @SaraEisen for today’s discussion. If I didn’t say it clearly, I think the FED will be cutting rates by the end of next year (2023) and that the equity markets should find a better entry point near the midterm elections this Nov. @CNBCClosingBell
"The pattern is set at the central banks. I think we're going to be cutting by the end of next year. You need to be picking your spots are starting to buy," says @Jkylebass. "While we might see more and more #inflation, the markets aren't going to allow rates to go higher."

Speaking of Cowards, I would like to extend @HuXijin_GT a formal offer to come to Texas and by my guest at our ranch this Fall. Let’s engage in in-person diplomacy free from the Great Firewall (and before xi invades Taiwan 🇹🇼). @mikepompeo is invited as well. #LittleSparky #China
Quote of @mikepompeo
Coward. In January last year, it was reported that you were going to visit Taiwan in the last days before leaving office, but you did not dare to go in the end. Now you are inciting Pelosi to do things you wouldn’t dare to do as secretary of state. You are sinister.
CCP-mouthpiece The Global Times threatens Pelosi's plane will be shot down if she visits Taiwan.

President Biden must give full support to this visit. Don't be weak and cave to the demands of petty warmongers and dictators in Beijing. Support the freedom-loving people of Taiwan.
Quote of @Chinamission2un
Like the Sino-British Joint Declaration of 1984 (that was ratified and filed with the UN)? China just showed the world that signed, legal, ratified, international agreements aren’t worth the paper they are printed on. The @Chinamission2un ‘s BS propaganda doesn’t fool anyone.
Reply to @Chinamission2un
The two sides need to work for deescalation of regional hotspots, help rid the world of #COVID as early as possible, reduce the risk of stagflation and recession, and uphold the international system centering on the UN and the international order underpinned by international law.
China firmly opposes separatist moves toward “Taiwan independence” and interference by external forces, and never allows any room for “Taiwan independence” forces in whatever form. Those who play with fire will perish by it.
Quote of @lukedepulford
Rishi Sunak gave a speech last year that included -
“Too often, the debate on China lacks nuance…Truth is, China is both one of the most important economies in the world and a state with fundamentally different values to ours. We need a mature and balanced relationship.”
